Conferences
The International Conference on Sustainable Tourism is an annual event organized by the Department of Geography and Resource Management (GRMD), the Master of Social Science in Sustainable Tourism (MSSST) programme, and the Centre for Environmental Policy and Resource Management (CEPRM) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Standing at the frontier of knowledge, the conference offers an academic platform to tourism scholars, practitioners, and emerging young leaders from various institutes, and strives to stimulate discussions on sustainable tourism through sharing the latest researches, effective practices and innovative approaches that support various dimensions of sustainable tourism. Since the first conference held in 2012, the event has centred around themes such as sustainable tourism practices and development, community and environmental resilience, and global-local understanding. Throughout the years, over a thousand great minds in the tourism academia across the globe have been attracted to the conferences, fostering academic exchange and collaboration, and bringing together novel ideas and empirical evidence related to sustainable tourism.
